That's an angle I hadn't thought of, and it also sounds pretty
plausible. "OK, I've got you on a hook. Now, you pay me a little money
to keep quiet, or you won't have a good reputation worth defending."

The identity theft one k.k. suggests in his e-mail had crossed my mind.
