Probably has a lot to do with it. Last year I was in the
same boat for a while, and I found myself skipping over
entire threads of questions about writing and tool usage,
sometimes thinking "these people know less about the jobs
I'm not getting than I do." OTOH, I replied to a lot of
other threads about contract strategies, rates, etc.
So maybe it's not so much a matter of not wanting to help
others as it is the fact that your interest is currently
(and understandably) fixed on a different aspect of the
profession.
