How to set up cross pdf links in FM:

1) Make sure both FM books/files are on the same drive - then all links will be relative. If they are on different drives, all links will be absolute and will break if the pdfs are moved to a CD say.

2) Set up your links in FM

3) When you are ready to create the pdf, make sure both books/files are open when you generate the postscript.

4) Distill, and check that the inter-pdf links work.

I should have added:
5) When you distribute the pdfs (eg on CD), the relative paths must be retained. ie, if the FM books were in the same folder, the pdfs must be in the same folder for the links to work. If the FM files were in different folders, the pdfs must be distributed in folders of the same names as the folders containing the FM files, and be at the same relative depth to each other.
