I answered this on March 3, but I couldn't remember the name of the Web
site in San Francisco. It's 'craigslist.org.'

The STC Consulting and Independent Contracting SIG (stcsig.org/cic)
maintains a good online book about technical writing consulting...

Separately, Dan Poynter (Parachute Press) wrote a good book...

Doug Florzak of Chicago STC wrote a book on freelance...and also
maintains a Web site.

The NWU (National Writer's Union) maintains a useful Web site...as does
the WGA (Writer's Guild of America).

There was a Web site...see above.
