Re: How to submit new version release information to the Technical writer
Has anyone prepared a document or has an idea on - how to submit the new
version release information to the Technical writers - for incorporating the
relevant changes in the user and installation guides?
Tried on google and some software engineering sites for samples or
templates, but was not successful
I usually just ask for a bulleted list; that's not a bad place to start. Then I investigate each bullet point to find out what changes were *really* made.
If you want more, then ask them for the original docs that drove the changes. Ask if they are using any kind of change management system; if so you should be able to extract the requirements for the changes.
