information on the STC site, the organization is interested in giving
people what they want. STC is soliciting opinions from members, but I
would hope they'd also open up a mechanism for input from people who are
no longer members but who would come back if the organization more
suitably met their needs. Maybe there is such a mechanism, now, but I
didn't look for it.
Rather than focus more narrowly on a few areas, it seems the
organization is going to try to distribute resources more equally among
areas instead. Again, that's what I got from reading a lot of material
on the STC site.
I hadn't read anything before last night, and I spent about 20 minutes
reading. Most of the material is fairly vague at this point, but the
general thrust is in four bulleted points on the main transformation
page. Nothing's been implemented yet, and probably won't be for some
time.
