I've never been seriously credited as an author in documentantion except when I wrote a few free-lance user manuals in the late 1980s (http://www.sccft1789.org/part-time/unemploy.php)
Reading this thread, though, made me wish for more. So, in my latest RoboHelp project, I wrote "This file created by Diane Evans, 2004". I then turned the font white.
