For clarity and consistency, let me point out that this too is
an ad. Russell explained offline why he posted it and the issue
is resolved...but it's still an ad that shouldn't be posted in
the future.

Gang, there are good ways to get the word out about such
things without posting ads to the list. For example, use
the Calendar at http://www.techwr-l.com/techwhirl/calendar/
to post events/deadlines/etc.--they'll be automatically
mailed out to the daily announcement posting subscribers
(http://www.techwr-l.com/techwhirl/daily-announce-info.html).

Similarly, use Employment Services
(http://www.techwr-l.com/techwhirl/employment/) to post job
ads. The postings are mailed out to the daily announcement
posting too.
