Adobe Framemaker is for large, heavily formatted doc (think big doc sets for major apps). Thus Adobe's reference to it as an enterprise-level solution. Adobe PageMaker is more flexible and more appropriate for those who produce smaller docs which have to change format frequently.

But Adobe InDesign is now Adobe's major publishing app. It's even more compatible than the other 2 with the Adobe graphics suite. Plus it has much more robust editing capabilities.

I'm a newbie and the only tech writer where I work, and just as I'm getting comfortable working with PageMaker 7.0 my supervisors are considering switching to FrameMaker. Can anyone who has used both programs give me a little feedback as to how they compare? We have a lot of new products about to be released and I guess I'm going to have several engineers adding content to the manuals, so which program is more team-friendly? Any help you can offer is appreciated.
