Is there some reason you can't use the Paper
Capture plugin, a free download from Adobe?

It's hard to find on their site (at least, I
always end up searching for it) and not very
intuitive to use, but it works, especially
if you just want to extract the text and don't
care if it comes up with all sorts of font
sizes and odd placement of text.
