Hi all,

I'd like to get into the medical writing field. I have
a B.A. in technical writing, and am currently in a
Master's program in nursing for people with
non-nursing Bachelor's degrees. However, I am not
happy with the school and have applied to a community
college nursing program that has a better pass rate on
the NCLEX (the exam one must pass to become an RN).

My question is, should I stay in the Master's program,
or go to the community college? If I go to the
community college, I will only get an RN. Will it make
any difference to an employer whether I have a
Master's in nursing versus just the RN, as long as I
have the B.A. in tech writing?

I have looked at the American Medical Writers
Association's web site, but they don't seem to have a
listserv. I'd really appreciate any advice on this--I
have to make my decision in December.

Thanks a lot!
