I would be wary of conversion freeware, especially if your documents are
lengthy and contain charts, figures, tables, graphics, or other
complexities. I often have to convert 100+ page documents from WP to
Word that include many tables and figures, and I have had good results
with Conversions Plus from DataViz. Here's the link:

Mathew Varghese asked:
I need to convert XML files to MS Word documents. Please suggest a tool
(preferably Open Source/Freeware).
-------------------------------

In addition to the SDK that someone mentioned, take a look at these.

http://www.thebeatlesforever.com/processtext/abcxml.html

I just did a quick scan through the hits of a "XML to DOC conversion"
googling, so I'm not sure if these are what you need or if they are
worth the effort. I would be interested in knowing what you ultimately
decide to go with and how it works out for you.
