You know, PDFs are a lot better than they used to be. I haven't seen
Acrobat 7 yet, but the search function in 6 is very good (even if it has
no thesaurus support), and with lots of bookmarks and hot links, I think
it can do enough.

Just be sure and review all the documentation about creating bookmarks and
links automatically.

Might make this a little less of a death march for you.
