Thanks, Stuart. I've written the client, who is aware I don't have PageMaker
because I edited a hard-copy of a manual for them about a year ago, with an
explanation of the process. If they can't export the manuals to RTF and send
me the RTF files, they will have to find someone else to do the job. I wrote
this morning and haven't heard back yet, so perhaps they've found another
solution. In the meantime, though, I got another client through a referral
from a well-known editor, so I'm not crying.
