Bruce,

I enjoyed the article, thanks!

I am now negotiating a new job, that would take me about six thousand
miles from here to work with an outsourced development group on
software for the U.S. market...writing docs and, quite probably,
marketing materials.

If the contract goes through, I would be the sole writer...and get the
choice of tools. Thus, I am in the same situation now.

I have worked with FM through version 6 (Frame 6 +SGML, actually).

I am seriously considering whether to attempt the job in OOo as the
primary vehicle for the work for several reasons:

1. I can use XML tools to render the resulting docs in multiple
forms with little additional effort.
2. Those who will review the docs in preliminary form can have easy
and free access to the tool.
3. OOo is cross platform...and the programs I would be working with
have both server (UNIX/Linux-based) and workstation (mostly Windows,
some other).

I am glad to hear you believe it may be adequate.

David
