Re: giving feedback to non writers

When you do all you can, and you get no support from anyone who can
affect the outcome, you do it as the SME directs...particularly if
your name is not to be on the article in question!

This can be highly frustrating for those of us interested in quality
writing. The way I deal with it is to remind myself that if I wanted
sole control over what I write, I would be a self-publishing freelance
writer. Unfortunately, that route doesn't always pay the bills...

On the other hand, I take considerable solace from the book I'm
writing that will not be reviewed by those who cannot write
well...until, at least, it is published and in hands of journalists!
