Hi folks -

Has anyone out there ever produced a "mini manual", about 3 x 5 size?
I'm currently using Word 2002 and Acrobat 5, and am wondering whether
that can be done using Word/Acrobat, or if there is some other program
that is better suited to doing a book this size. (I've done a booklet
that is a half page size, and that worked great in Word.) It has to be
complete with an automated TOC and index, headers, footers, graphics,
cross-references, the whole shot, and generally not more than 200
(small!) pages. We will not be printing the books in-house (they'll go
to a local printer). Any ideas where to start?

Before you begin this project, talk with the printer. They should be able to take a straight-through PDF (pages 1- 2xx) and do the imposition into signatures themselves. They should also be able to convert any Word RGB color images to CMYK for printing (if you even have any color in the book). But find out in advance so you don't have nasty surprises later.
