We tech writers are eyeing 7. I believe speed is the number one reason
to go to Acrobat 7; it's reportedly a bijillion times faster than 6.

We, however, still must distribued PDF 1.4, for Acrobat 5, because the
newest version of Acrobat Reader for Solaris is 5.0.9 and that's
mostly our audience.

I would also note that the Acrobat 4.0.0 product has never been
supported on Windows 2000 nor XP, you need 4.0.5c for the former and
5.0.5 or later for the latter.
