This can be a commonly held misconception. AuthorIT doesn't compete with
TM tools - it fits into the translation workflow a step before TM.
AIT manages the content that is being submitted to the translators, and
this is subsequently put through TM. This content usually includes
little to no exact matches as only new or modified content (AIT
"objects") is included - and this is where a great deal of savings are
generated. Most localization vendors still charge some fee for exact
matches when using TM, and AIT helps minimize this cost.
Both TM and AIT add substantial value to the localization process...
