Yep, things do seem to be picking up. A couple of months ago there were actually 10 tech writing openings here in Pittsburgh, PA. I don't recall such a thing in the past 30 years. We're still averaging several new openings per month.

As you say John, the recruiters are calling us again, and not the other way around :-)

By the way, most of the new business around here seems to be either defense or security related. Is this true elsewhere?

It's not just my imagingation. My girlfriend commenhted on it last
night...she gets home before I do and usualy checks the phone
messages.

Not only more of them, but more insistent "make sure he gets this message."
