Sounds like you are looking for InformationMapping. Google it. Have fun.

Either that, or you are looking to make DFDs the Next Great Thing in
documentation. Been there (but we called it something else). Spilled beer on
the t-shirt. Not new. Not even really the Next Great Thing. Sorry. (But, you
could probably make some money producing books and classes about it, like
the InformationMapping folks did with their thing. You need to come up with
a spiffy name, like VisualDocumentation (C)(TM)(R) [that one's mine now]).
