Hi Jerry

I'd like to help with this--am also a programmer, so if we use a Wiki
or similar I could write a scraper to make a downloadable version (in
theory).

I think the Wiki idea is the best to get things going. I'd personally
like a Wiki that was free (as in beer, and as in speech)--perhaps the
Portland Patterns Repository?

I suggest you just pick some Wiki host that you like and send another
email telling us where to go.

Thanks, Patrick. I've built and managed a couple of dozen wikis in recent years, and will put another one up on my own site for this project. I'll seed it with some scaffolding, and come back for contributors in a couple of days.
