If you have SnagIt 7, there is now a free download to do just this. Go
to http://www.techsmith.com/community/downloads/snagitprofiles.asp and
then scroll to the Text Capture Profiles download.

Hi,

Anyone know of a way to capture the text of a title bar (of the
currently
active window) **as text** (not as a graphic) in Windows (2000/XP)?

That is, if a window opens, is there a way to grab whatever text is in
the
title bar for use **as text** elsewhere, such as notepad? I have snagit
but I found no such options there.

Cheers,

Sean
