Raymond,

I'm a tech writer for a small airline company. Although I've done freelance writing in the past, as well as work in other areas of communication, this is the first For Real Tech Writing job I've had. They're very happy with the work I do. I probably would have hired in at a higher salary if I had just had some kind of aviation experience.

You might look to see if there is anything in the airline industry, unless of course, you're looking for something completely new.

dave.

I am a 49 year old male who desires to pursue a career in technical
writing.
I have nearly 2 years of college from 1977.
I am a former commercial Pilot that now works in the computer help desk
field.
No one seems to know where I am to begin.
Shall I get a writing certificate or take other classes?
Please define the track I need to pursue.
I have no desire to finish college although I am willing to take classes.
