I need some help with a web page coding problem that falls within if not precisely under the tech writing umbrella - as it were. That said, sorry if this post is off the beam, so to speak...

Would anyone share some onmouseover tricks that enable the active area of a page to remain active while a JavaScript or other web page layer control spawns a sub-layer that contains both text and hotlinks (not the sausages!)?

I'm stuck. It seemed easy to me at first, but cross browser requirements have made this more difficult than expected. I imagine that Ken Jennings could do this in a snap!

Any help would be appreciated...

Thanks in advance,
