After school, I studied Biology, didn't work out, so I quit and trained as a physics lab
assistant. Great stuff, but no work opportunities at that time. Did everything to avoid
unemployment and not to die from boredom, including selling cheese and other milk products on the
beautiful island of Juist in the North Sea.
Got a job in the chemical industry producing filters for pharmaceuticals. Good money, mindless
work. Having had enough of it, I searched the study programs again and decided on studying
technical writing (I had technical understanding, liked people and was good at words - perfect
match). While studying I did lots of stuff to get money, from being a night watchman to multimedia
programming in Director.
Finished at the end of 2003 and found work in my present company, documenting conference systems,
writing press releases and doing catalogues, posters, illustrations, broschures and generally
anything that needs a bit of text and layout skills.

Over the last years, I also got involved in (amateur) drama, including directing and teaching.

The future, right now, seems pretty exiting.

Jens

P.S.: All this happened in good ol' Germany so far.
