At this point, we are going to remove 896358 and hopefully, MS will fix
it. Maybe Macromedia will find a work around other than ignoring a
security update.

We've had a coworker who had this same problem, but for 2000, not XP.

He only worked around the issue by uninstalling the update in question
(SP
896358).

I've not yet downloaded/installed the group of security updates, and
won't
until issue resolution is achieved.

Perhaps, just maybe if we all start contacting MS in droves, they may
consider looking into the malfunction.

We have...will you?

Thanks

Subject: Service Pack 896358

The Service pack for XP now makes it impossible to view .chms. Our QC
and Support departments downloaded this service pack, and can only view
chms if moved to their local machine. Customers will be calling soon.
Does anyone have quick fix for this? The Microsoft help page is 7 pages
long and over my head. Thanks.
