Are the suggestions in this thread appropriate content for the Techwriting Patterns Wiki?

http://twpats.hytext.com/

It's not about craft, but it is a pattern. WDYS, Jerry?

They are, indeed, appropriate. Job conditions, including salary, are part of the tech writing package, and knowing how to manage them successfully is critical to success as a tech writer. Additionally, some of the suggestions here have generic application to other TW negotiations -- scheduling, scope of project, buget projections and responsibilities, testing, document mantenance requirements, etc. I can see patterns being productively clustered and organized according to conditions of use -- social, administrative, content structuring, presentation design, job conditions, career management, and the like.
