In addition to a public demonstration of the Instiki Wiki engine, I now have another of the MediaWiki engine.

Instiki: http://revectored.com:2527/
MediaWiki: http://revectored.com/mediawiki/

Either of these may be tested to your heart's content. I believe it's important for tech comms to become familiar with Wiki technology as a documentation tool for workgroups. They're not just for the Web.

MediaWiki is the Wiki engine behind WikiPedia and the family of WikiMedia sites -- and many other public and private Wikis. It's a PHP application exploiting a MySQL database.

It's somewhat richer than Instiki. Importantly, it's in very wide and visible use, is under active development, and ain't goin' away soon.

As with the Instiki demonstration, the MediaWiki demo contains no important information and cannot be broken, so do whatever you like with it.
