Given what our Indian colleagues on this list have said about the cost
of living, I suspect that the average entry-level salary is comparable
to our minimum wage. If that is the case, I cannot imagine doing this
work for USD 5.15 - 8.50!

Well, regardless of cost-of-living, the 7x differential after ten years
is startling. Either the entry-level TWs are working for a sub-living
wage, or the experienced TWs are living like kings, or both. I'm not
making any judgments; I'm just curious.
