Is it only "some" of the pages, or is the problem more consistent. That will help you nail down what is causing the weird printing. If it happens on all the pages, I would also check that the page size selected by the printer matches the page size selected by Word. For example, if Word is set for a standard letter size page, but the printer has been inadvertently set for a different size page (legal, tabloid, etc.), the page will look okay in print preview, but the final output from the printer will be screwed up.

A co-worker asked me about a problem with Microsoft Word and margins. He has
a document that looks fine in Print Preview. However, when he prints the
document some of the pages have very wide left margins and no right margin.
The text on the right side just runs off the page. It seems like the wide
left margin is equal to the sum of the left and right margins combined,
without a right margin. The document contains graphics plus the margin issue
seems to move to different pages each time he prints the document. The
printer is an HP LaserJet 8100N.

I checked the Microsoft Word parameters and could not find anything to
change. Has anyone seen this before or have any ideas how to fix it?
