[IT education] IT Security: Sources and War Stories

Coinciding with the closing of my employer, I've got the chance to go into the educational/
edutainmental field: co-writing the script for an educational film about IT security.

Although I'm quite computer-literate, IT security hasn't featured prominently in my life so far.

So, my question: Do you have any sources to share where I can learn about IT security? Both the
technical side and some "war stories" about hackers, crackers, admins and security experts?
