It always feels that way. I've now been laid off four times: twice by
big companies, twice by small ones. In *every* case, the next job was
somehow better than the last one.

Thanks for all the replies and encouragement on the list and off
regarding my recent questions (IT security, working abroad, professional
writing with Word).

It's the first time I'm losing my job after graduation and suddenly the
sky seems to be filled with opportunities and risks. A most exhilarating
and scary experience.
