My new role includes developing and presenting some 'how to do technical
writing and editing better' coaching modules, to an audience made up
primarily of researchers and engineers, as well as running individual
coaching sessions on writing skills for them; doing some marcoms and PR
work; and some providing some guidance on exhibition planning; while I'm
also involved, in a small way, in specifying capabilities of a potential
CMS (with XML one aim).
When I get home, I'm still trying to complete the plumbing, electrics
and decoration of our extension!
Must dash,
Ant

I'm curious how many of you do technical writing and something else in
your job. In the job before my current one, I was a technical
writer/release engineer. In addition to writing documentation,
including feature specifications, I would run the build and code the
installers. I'm hoping someday to find a job that will allow me to be
a "technical writer/programmer."
What other types of hybrid technical writing jobs are out there?
