I work for the American office of a company that also has offices in Denmark and England, at this office there are six developers and I guess one and a half tech writers. I am full-time and the other tech writer is a part time contractor. He has other clients and works for us from home, on the web development side of things and takes up my overflow, so to speak.

I am not sure how many tech writers or developers there are in the Danish and British offices. We are a NATO contractor specializing in NBC (Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical) Analysis.

We are gathering statistics about the ratio of technical writers to software developers. Could you please share any information you have on the number of tech writers your company has versus the number of developers? We'd also appreciate it if you could let us know your primary industry, such as financial, medical, etc.

Thanks,

Tom H. Johnson
