WWeP *is* likely converting the graphics to PNG. However, you are
required to explicitly specify the filename extension .png in Graphic
Styles > Options > Output file extension. One would think that WWeP
would automatically do this based on your selection in Graphic Styles >
Options > Format!

This little chore was causing me confusion too [I hadn't specified .GIF
as my ext either]. Just as Joe said, my graphic issues my just be
scale-related. Thanks for that too Joe!

I am just after changing WWeP's Style Designer by choosing PNG instead
