I'm not sure what everyone is trying to do, but when I work with
dropdowns I use a timed capture. This allows me to open the list and
position my cursor on an item. When SnagIt takes over the screen, I then
capture a region that includes the list, the cursor, and so forth. I can
send an example for anyone who is curious.

FWIW, I've never been able to get this to work. I've tried Custom
Scroll, and, as you have experienced, I only get part of what I am
trying to capture. And, it seems inconsistent as to which part I get.
I've always figured I am missing something (likely obvious), but I
eventually give up and come up with some other plan :)
