Sounds like you've already got it pretty well scoped out.

A wireless headset operating on infrared or at 900 MHz won't interfere with your router. Devices that operate on 2.4 GHz are potential problems, but can usually coexist because of the nature of the WiFi and Bluetooth protocols.

Regarding Vonage delay, I am truly surprised that your friend couldn't use it on conference calls.. the delay is less than 50 milliseconds. I've never had any problem using it in the 2+ years I've had it. Possibly he has some other problem.

Good luck.

I'm setting up my home office, having just left a long-term contract for which I worked onsite.

I'm curious how you handle your telephone requirements. Here is my dream setup:

---Phone would have Caller ID
---Console (you know, the big part that sits on the desk) would have buttons for preset #s (I prefer physical buttons to a tiny backlit screen I'd have to scroll through)
---Wireless headset I could wear around the house (with another wireless piece I could dial from, also anywhere around the house; and this piece would also have Caller ID)
---No interference with my Linksys wireless router

I don't have a mobile, nor do I want one. So, this would all be coming through my home landline.

How do you manage your phone setup? Of all the things I'm looking for, a wireless headset that doesn't interfere with the Linksys is my biggest Need to Have. (If you use Vonage, Skype, or any similar service, does it work on conference calls? A friend of mine finally gave up using Vonage on our conference calls, because he was always a beat behind everyone and caused a great deal of confusion by interrupting people unintentionally. The time lag, small as it was, was a killer.)

Thanks for any and all suggestions.
