Pardon the late response--I've been away from my work e-mail the last
couple of days.

(1) Asking where the organization could be in 5 years isn't a bad response
to the question; I think I may use it!
(2) My original answer may be ideal for a contractor, but I don't want to
be a contractor. I want to be an employee. From the suggestions given in
this thread, it seems to me that the more elaborate answer may work quite
well, and I think I'll use it from now on.
