I am looking for some experienced tech writer who could be a coach and
mentor and a firend perhaps. Please let me know if you are interested.

Sorry if this email is out of turn on the list.

I have two suggestions:

-- Mailing lists, and discussion groups can be great "collective
mentoring" experiences, as well as great resources for networking and
quick-and-dirty peer review. I've been a tech writer for 20 years
now, and it's a rare week when I don't learn at least one very useful
thing from TECHWR-L. So read and partiicpate. :-)

-- You don't say where you're located, only that you're working for a
multinational based in India. Are you in a place where there's a
local chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) nearby,
or an equivalent organization? If so, join, and go to the meetings
and events. That's a great way to meet peers and potential mentors
