Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to set up an electronic
forum for clients?

Specifically, I am looking for information about forum-managing software
packages. I would also like to hear from anyone who ran into unexpected
challenges when setting up such a forum. The users would all be
professional developers.

Thanks!

Stick with the free phpBB forum software. I set one up with no prior experience in practically no time. They are pretty much the standard as they are even used for support for multi-billion $ businesses. And most users should be acquainted with their appearance due to being just about everywhere.

There are even free servers (with sponsored advertising attached) for setting them up. So you don't even need to dedicate my of your servers.
