You'll need to register a domain name. I recommend GoDaddy.com ( http://www.godaddy.com ) for this.
As for hosting, I have a couple sites hosted with H2Hosting. ( http://h2hosting.com/ ) They're amazingly cheap and their customer service
is outstanding. I found out about them from my cousin who is also a
web-developer/consultant who recommends them to all of his clients. I don't
think you can go wrong with them. They've got a bunch of options to choose
from too.

Subject: Starting a personal website
I'm working myself up to starting a personal website. Nothing fancy or big,
just a place to showcase some of my work and pictures of my critters.
I'm looking for advice on finding a web host. Anything I should watch out
for or worry about? Any other advice or recommendations would be
appreciated.
Thanks,
Karen Murri
