I just talked with my wife (who, after 30 years in the financial industry,
takes care of handling our money) and I was off by 10%. She says take home
has been closer to 75% of gross and not 85%. Of course, all my
medical/dental/vision benefits are through my wife's employer which keeps
down the expenses.

phone sometimes)

A little discouraging. I'm getting about a 7.5% pay increase soon, which,
after all the deductions will increase my monthly take home by about $50 a
week. 2 pizzas or 1 dinner at my favorite Indian place.

Hi James,

I don't know of a website, but I've always assumed that you would take
home about 85% of your gross and it's been pretty close.

Does anyone know of a website that calculates take-home pay? I thought I
