... or else why would he reply to an advertisement for a proposal
writer with a one-line 'cover letter' email (which says basically
'here's my resume') and a resume headed "Position Sought: Advertising
Copywriter".

Sheesh. I've done some pretty wide net-casting in my time, but it sure
looks different from this side :-/
