I didn't see anyone list communications gear. Does anyone carry
anything other than a cell phone?

I have read and heard, I think, that stuck in car in snow, one should
idle 10 minutes out of the hour.

This page suggests "the average car" uses .15 gals per hour of idling.
Or just shy of 7 hours of idling per gallon. Anyone have a better
resource? Or one that takes into consideration engine displacement,
number of cylinders, etc.?

Assuming a conservative 4 hours of idling per gallon, this would
equate to 24 hours of ten minute per hour idling per gallon ... a
gallon per day.

Does anyone keep a gas can in their trunk?
