Naive but on-topic structural question: separate TECHWR-OT-L list?

Subject: Naive but on-topic structural question: separate TECHWR-OT-L list?

Here's a very naive question.

Many of us seem comfortable with sticking two letters -- "OT" -- on a
subject line when the topic shifts.

Would it be possible to create a new mailing list, TECHWR-OT-L, so the
same two letters could be typed into the return address?

I don't know how much extra trouble it would be to set up that list
for our administrator, but I'd think it would be a good solution.

People who don't mind OT traffic can be subscribed to both lists.
People who hate OT traffic can only subscribe to TECHWR-L, and would
then never see traffic sent to the OT list.

Just a notion.

"I don't know" is an answer.
"I don't know yet" is a better answer.
