what is probably the only performance piece or composition that sets a
user manual to music. Hear samples and download the original manual.
Many of the sounds in the piece were recorded from an IBM 1401 owned by
the composer's father. You can also download the whole piece at
emusic.com (or buy the CD if you like atoms to go with your bits).



Only the orchestral version is available. I'd love to hear the string
quartet version sometime.
