who the tech pubs manager is in a particular company?You can find someone you know who works there and ask them. You can call up and ask for the doc manager and lie when they ask you why you are calling. You can call another department that is listed and try to get the name from them. Use other sites like Linked In to get names. Find out where the employees hang out after work and slam a few beers with them.
There are some companies in my area that I'd like to market to, and I'd like to bypass HR and deal directly with the documentation manager, assuming there is one. I think that if I pick up the phone and call and ask, I'm likely to be passed on to HR, which I want to avoid.
How do you find out who the hiring manager is at a company that interests you?
As a former business reporter, I like John's input....LIE....with discresion of course and always ethically.
