You might enjoy reading Adam Bosworth's 2004 ICSOC comments apropos CSS and bad mouthing tables. He probably has a wall plaque like mine that says "Can't I have the information without the religion?" I think it is oddly interesting how the debate continues to echo with evangelical overtones between designers, webmasters, programmers, writers, ....
