Thanks for the feedback. We are sort of leaning towards DocToHelp, as all of your documents are in Word.

Have you used the conditional text features to replace text?

I’m replying off-list to avoid appearing like a spokesperson.


I’m using Doc-to-Help 2006 Enterprise right now—it’s the first HAT I’ve ever used, and I’ve only had one training session (1 hour webex), but I’m creating a rather complex modular help system. Like any specialized application, it has its quirks, and may take some getting used to, but I’ve been able to successfully create help systems in Word and HTML, as well as fairly seamlessly convert a very large old RoboHelp system.


I tried Flare, but the demo never worked properly, and I didn’t like the interface.
